How Skin Polishing Can Help your Skin Glow
The skin polishing routine is very important and is a
keystone of my philosophy. You can use a gentle polisher twice a day as an
ideal way of refining the skin's texture, improving its circulation and
clearing the pores.
Polishing is neither a scrub nor an exfoliation; rather it
is a much gentler way of giving your face a radiant glow. You wouldn't buff oak
furniture with coarse granules, as contained in a lot of the so-called facial
scrubs on the market today. Skin Polishing may sound like a strange concept,
but people polish their cars, ornaments and any thing else they hold dear and
want to look shiny and new. I believe the body deserves just as much special
care. What's more, it's extremely good for your skin.
First of all, dampen your neck and face. Take a generous
amount of polisher on the palm of your hand and using your fingertips, gently
stroke rather than scour your skin.
You want to work very lightly all over, including under the
eyes, behind the ears, and on top of the eyelids. The idea is to gently massage
your skin in an upward direction with a light touch. There is no separate
beauty routine necessary for the eye as long as you are gentle, and polishing can
help with dark circles and puffy eyes. Spend about two minutes very lightly
making light upwards circular motions with the tips of your fingertips all over
your face. Then pat with lukewarm water. Dry by patting with a towel, and you
are ready for moisturizing. Irrespective of your skin type, polishing will have
a balancing effect.
