Make up to Cover Up Pimples

Covering up ACNE with make-up is one tricky piece of art. You want to cover it but at the same time you don’t want to irritate the pimple. Make-up can actually help your acne to subsidies but only if you use products that don’t contain irritating ingredients. These harsh ingredients include; lanolin, artificial fragrances, artificial colors, preservatives, and mineral oil. Try finding products that contain skin healing elements like salicylic acid, botanical oils and antioxidants.
acne with make-up
a). Wash your face thoroughly using a cleanser for acne prone skin.
b). Pat dry your face.
c). Apply your usual moisturizer, and make sure it is not greasy.
d). Apply acne ointment and wait for 5 minutes.
e). Use an antibacterial product on blemishes. E.g. Beta dine, Aquaphor or Vaseline.
f). Apply a thin layer of make-up base over your skin.
Do not even consider applying non-medicated liquid foundation, otherwise this type of make-up will make your acne worse. If you are not able to find a medicated foundation, opt to use a powder. Before applying the powder, apply a concealer, preferably one that is medicated if possible. You may also be able to find and oil-free foundation – this is like a tinted moisturizer but a better option for your acne. Apply a slightly thick layer of concealer over your face. Rub it in well and ensure it has blend well.
Apply loose foundation powder (keep this with u during the day when your and about to use for touch ups.) For optimum results, wait for about 5 minutes to allow the make-up to dry and set if you are willing to apply a bronzer or blush.
To Remove
To not be tempted to jump for the bed. Take your make up remover using a cleansing pad and make-up remover.
(Product advice: Nivea 3-in-1 make up remover – good for removing eye make-up, face and neck).
Hot Tip
Keep some oil removing sheets with you in your handbag for oil breakouts. These oil removing sheets remove oil from the face without removing your make-up, however, you may need to go through a little touch ups.
Be Warned
Do not ever use an applicator more than once, this will spread bacteria. Use cotton pads which you can use once and discard. Do not re-use a make-up removing pad more than once, as this also tends to spread bacteria and is unhealthy for the skin.
