Plucking Eyebrows, In order to maintain a well-groomed look it is important to keep your eyebrows in shape at all times, especially if you have thick eyebrows with thick hair. Though you can get your eyebrows shaped by a beautician, you might have unwanted hair appearing between consultations which you may find uncomfortable as well as untidy. Well you can maintain the neatness for another week or two in the comfort of your own home, and fit it into your busy schedule taking up a couple of minutes of your valuable time.

Before plucking always picture the shape you’d like to have according to your face shape and eyes. Don’t attempt to fix up the shape of your brows if you have previously over plucked them. Use a white or dark black pencil to draw the shape of the brow you’d like to achieve before you begin to pluck. Always ensure that your tweezers are clean – rub a disinfectant like alcohol or Detol. Your face and hands must be clean.
For best results, have a warm shower or wash your face with warm water to help open up the pores on your face which will allow plucking to be a little bit more easier and also less painful. Trim your eyebrows after drawing the shape. Trimming your eyebrows makes you look younger because once they reach a certain length they begin to lose their pigment and hence make you as well as your face look older and of course untidy.
Before you trim your eyebrows, if you have bushy eyebrows, comb them down with a little comb. Use a perfect point scissor which you may find in a little manicure set. Trim any excess hair that goes beyond the natural hair line.
If you take an eyeliner pencil and place it vertically against your nose starting from parallel to the tear duct of the eye you will find the starting point of your eyebrow. If there is any hair going beyond the pencil, they should be plucked.

To workout the arch of the eyebrow, place the eyeliner pencil against the nostril of your nose and middle of your mouth and end it at the outside the iris of the eye. Pluck a gradual line from the arch to the start of the eyebrow (towards your nose). Ensure you keep it gradual so that it looks neat not harsh and messy.
The end of the eyebrow will be determined by placing your pencil from the corner of the mouth to the outside corner of the eye. Pluck any hair that goes beyond this point.

Place your pencil horizontally from the start of your eyebrow (from the tear duct) to the end of the eyebrow. The pencil should create a perfect line.
Tip: If you prefer having your eyebrows waxed, go to a professional and reputed salon. Make sure you ask them not to make your eyebrows too thin, and then should be a medium thickness. Have a look at magazines to show them which type of shape, length and thickness you want.
